ESAM6600 DeLonghi – how to make weaker coffee? or is it the coffee beans?
Just new owner of a Prima Donna ESAM 6600 – I know price is ouch but it’s an Excellent Automatic Machine better than my old GAGGIA and it is much quicker but the coffee I make on Gaggia tastes better than DeLonghi – I don’t know whether it is the coffee beans I have been given for free or I need to adjust something on the machine, I have selected extra-mild taste but it still tastes strong. I enjoy drinking Lavazza – 100% Arabic beans. I am yet to try this one on the ESAM6600 as I have opened Free coffee beans of LaZumba which is a mix of exotic ethiopian beans. Any coffee lovers out there can help me understand coffee beans or machine better?

I think it’s the beans. Ethopian beans seem to make a stronger brew than Arbica beans. I’d simply try adding a bit of hot water to the finished coffee to weaken it to your liking, if you’d like to use the free beans up before buying more of your prefered brand.
